It is a fact that gaming consoles are less vulnerable than personal computers. However, we shall not forget that gaming consoles are specialized computers. Wherever we have an operating system and software, we can expect viruses and all kinds malware. Moreover, modern gaming consoles provide web browsing capabilities and this opens a door to harmful software.
A leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software Trend Micro has released the world's first antivirus software for a gaming console. The security firm's product named Trend Micro Web Security for PlayStation 3 will be free of charge until the end of April 2008.
